frequently asked questions
Here’s a list of the most commonly asked questions - along with answers!
I paid by eCheque, but have not received my serial keys yet.
As you chose to pay by eCheque, the money hasn’t reached the pzizz account yet, and PayPal asks us to wait until the funds clear before sending out your license key(s). We apologize for the delay.
As soon as your payment arrives, we promise to send you an email with your license key(s) - it shouldn’t be more than three working days.
How much do you charge for upgrades? How often will I have to upgrade?
We never charge our paying customers for upgrades we make to the software - EVER!
We don’t like paying for upgrades - so we don’t charge for them. We think that if you’re happy with pzizz you’ll tell your friends and family - and their purchases will pay for our development costs. We’re just interested in making the best software we can…
Which means - you get *free upgrades for life!* Enjoy.
Can I use my license on two of my own computers?
I hope you’ll be pleased to know that pzizz has one of the most generous license agreements anywhere in the market!
Not only can you use your license on either Mac or Windows versions of the pzizz software but:
You can use it on up to three of your *own* computers (home / work / laptop) so you never have to be without pzizz…
AND
You can use any combination of platform (e.g Mac at home and Windows at work)
How long does it take to export naps?
This is dependent upon the power of your computer; a 667Mhz G4 PowerBook takes about 4 minutes to export a 20-minute nap.
If you need the ability to have your naps wherever and whenever you want, do consider the portable pzizz™ hardware player that creates a nap for you on the fly while you listen.
Is there an age limit to using pzizz™. Can I be too young or too old?
No. We have had e-mails from people in their later years telling us how much pzizz™ has helped them with relaxing and sleeping, especially those with age related medical conditions. We have also had reports that mothers have been sitting their young children in front of pzizz™ and it has worked beautifully to relax them and give them a nap, in turn giving the mothers a welcome break!!
I would love to use pzizz software™ at work. How would I do this sitting at my desk?
Firstly we would suggest that you use some headphones or ear bud headphones to listen to pzizz software™ at work. This helps to keep the experience personal and shut off the ‘outside’ world for a while. Either place your head on your desk or just drop your head forward. This is ideal for shorter naps. Napping like this takes a little practice. We suggest that you allow your subconscious to become used to using pzizz nap technology™ before using it in these scenarios by using it outside the office.
I want to burn my naps onto a CD to use with my portable CD player and the CD player in my house….
pzizz nap technology™ allows for billions of combinations of naps and you have control over the length of time of the nap and the volume levels of the various audible components etc. Each new program that we produce will be priced at less than $20 and will be state-of-the-art technology.
A relaxation CD will always only play one recording of a fixed length of time and generally costs the same, if not more!
pzizz software™ is ideally designed to work with the modern range of computers and MP3 players. However, if you do wish to use CD players then we suggest you use a ‘Re-recordable’ CD so that you can update the naps as often as you like to have the advanced benefits of pzizz™ without wasting a CD every time.
What other programs are planned for use with pzizz software™?
We are looking to produce a large library of titles. We have found the generic ‘Energizer’ nap to be very successful with people from all areas of life and we are now looking to create more specific titles in the future such as ‘sports’, ‘motivation’, business confidence’, ‘creativity’ and many more. We will be looking to use the experts in all these fields to help with their development.
How often can I use pzizz software™ and can I use it too often? How often can I use pzizz…
You can use pzizz software™ as often as you like. The more often you use it the better you get at napping and therefore it is easier to get into that deeply relaxed state and your benefits are more profound. An ideal nap should be somewhere between 20 – 40 minutes but the better you get at napping, the more benefit you will get from a short nap!
How does pzizz software™ work and does it contain anything ‘secret’?
pzizz software™ contains age-old proven ways for people to relax. It uses a combination of music, sound effects and voice. The music and sound effects are soothing and relaxing. The spoken suggestions employ language patterns that are designed to help you get into a deeply relaxed state as quickly as possible and then help your subconscious to achieve the maximum benefit from your time out.
pzizz software™ does not contain anything secret – there are no dark, subliminal messages for you to fear!
I have a medical condition. Can I use pzizz software™ safely?
Many people have found pzizz™ to be incredibly beneficial in helping cope with medical conditions. As most physicians will tell you, one of the most important factors in aiding good health is a relaxed stress-free status. People recovering from or dealing with disease/injuries have found that pzizz™ has really helped them. Please look at the testimonials on our website under ‘Health’.
*We always recommend that people with any kind of medical condition consult their physician.
When I try to generate a sleep nap, pzizz crashes. What’s going on?
If you haven’t already done so, you need to download the sleep module separately. Please use the links given when you registered to download the software or in the confirmation email that was sent out when you purchased the sleep module.
When I try to export a soundtrack I get “The exporting of your nap(s) has failed due to error…
This is most likely due to the fact that you have a Smart Playlist and a “regular” playlist both called pzizz. Deleting one of these playlists should solve the problem..
I’m getting error 0xA0040203 when I try to export to iTunes. Why?
This error may occur when you try to export naps to a “read only” play list. Please try to select a different play list (or create new one) before exporting. However, if the error still appears, you may add pzizz soundtracks to iTunes manually.
For example, you might export them to a folder on your desktop and then import them to iTunes. Select “File”->”Import…” from the iTunes menu, and then add the selected soundtracks to whichever iTunes play list you prefer.
Verify also whether you have the latest version of pzizz installed. Select “Help”->”Check for updates…” from the pzizz menu. If an update is available, install it. Please be sure the pzizz is not running during installation.
Do I really need to install iTunes?
Pzizz does work without iTunes. However, iTunes is required if you want to be able to export your soundtracks directly to MP3 format, as iTunes converts them for you Without iTunes, pzizz can export to AAC, AIFF, WAV and MOV.
I get an error message: Publisher could not be verified.
Enable the security setting, “Access data sources across domains”.
I want to transfer pzizz from one computer to another one. How do I do it?
The easiest thing is to simply install a new copy of pzizz on the another computer and then enter your license key(s) in Help->Enter License Key… If pzizz tells you that the key is invalid / expired, you can get a new one by clicking on the “Reissue License Key” and entering your old key on the pzizz website.
While exporting to MP3 everything seems OK, but then suddenly ends with an error. What is happening?
When you choose to export to MP3, pzizz first creates a temporary WAV file. The size of the temporary WAV file is approximately 20 MB per minute (e.g. A 20 minute Energizer soundtrack will require about 400 MB of a free “scratch” space on your Hard Disk.
Try emptying the Trash and check whether you have enough free disk space before you start exporting pzizz soundtracks in MP3 format.
NOTE — It is always good computing practice to leave about 10% of your Hard Disk free in order to ensure optimum performance.
Exporting a soundtrack takes a long time. Why?
When pzizz exports a soundtrack, several parallel sound channels are mixed together. At the same time various transitions and effects are applied to them.
On our development machine (2 GHz AMD Opteron 246 / 2GB RAM) exporting a 20-minute soundtrack takes about 4 minutes using pzizz v2.3.
(If you have an older computer, the export may take longer.)
I’m getting error 0×80070005 when I try to export into iTunes. What should I do?
This error means that pzizz was prevented from communicating with iTunes.
Your firewall / antivirus software is probably set to block what are known as “COM remote procedure calls”. However, these procedure calls are necessary for pzizz to instruct iTunes to create an MP3 file, or to set nap information such as genre.
To resolve the problem, set your firewall / antivirus software to make an exception of pzizz and iTunes when blocking COM remote procedure calls.
