You’ve probably heard of relaxation CDs and guided sleep tracks.
Well, pzizz works on the same principle but with a couple of unique variances.
The First Problem With Regular CDs - Lack of Variety
When we started researching regular CDs, the first complaint we heard was that they started becoming ineffective after a while. People said that they worked really well to start with, but the effect wore off after about 10 days.
We were able to pinpoint the reason, and it turns out it’s quite simple. When you listen to the same thing over and over again, your subconscious soon learns what’s coming next. For this reason it stops paying attention and ’switches off’ - not good when you’re relying on the spoken suggestions to give you guidance!
The pzizz Solution? Our Tracks Are Different Every Single Time
So what we did was to split all the different elements of the recording (voice, music, sound effects) into what we call sound file “bins”. These are further divided up depending on which section they come from (beginning, middle or end)
When you want to create a soundtrack, pzizz uses a clever little algorithm and randomly selects different sound files from the “bins” and puts them together to make a new track for you. But it puts them together in an order that makes sense and they sound just like they were recorded as a single track. (Matthew calls it “structured random selection”)
Anyway, the fact that pzizz makes a new track for you every time you use it means that you never hear the same thing twice - which means your subconscious never ‘learns’ the tracks - which means it actually becomes more effective the more you use it!
The Second Problem With Regular CDs? You Have To Fit In With Them
The other problem we repeatedly heard is that regular CDs are of a fixed length of time. They may be 30 minutes, they may be 40 minutes - but they’re a fixed length of time and you’ve got to find that time in your day if you want to listen to them. You definitely can’t start listening to a guided program and stop half way through and still get the benefit from it. You need to go through the beginning, middle and end for it to work properly.
The pzizz Solution? We Put You In Control of The Time
This is pzizz’s second “magic trick” - because you can choose how long you want to listen for - anything between 10 and 60 minutes - putting you in control. Want a 12 minute track? No problem. 27 minutes? Absolutely. It’s completely up to you. And that’s just how it should be.
In fact, we tried to work out how many different soundtracks pzizz could actually make, but we gave up when we got to 100 billion!
That means that when you buy pzizz, it’s like getting a new relaxation CD and guided sleep track every day for the rest of your life - and you choose how long they last!
